ExtrOrdinate was started by Andy Popielski in November 2021. Andy has a background in engineering and previously worked in the energy industry for 10 years as a petrophysicist. Regularly handling large, structured/unstructured, and complex datasets led to a deep interest in improving data quality, analytical techniques and workflow efficiency with modern technologies. Andy likes to help others apply the power of data science tools, especially to ease the burden of repetitive and difficult analytical tasks that would otherwise reside in spreadsheets stretched to their limits.
Other professional interests include geospatial analytics, data collection and acquisition, business efficiency, water/environmental applications, and novel applications of AI algorithms for lightweight datasets.
